What is "nesting"?
Nesting is the process of preparing your home, routines, and essential spaces before your baby arrives. At The Little Nesting Company, we take that a step further by organizing your home, setting up your nursery, creating functional systems, and providing personalized newborn and postpartum education so you can feel confident and ready for your growing family.

Our approach combines professional organization with real-life newborn and postpartum knowledge. As a Registered Nurse with years of experience caring for mothers and babies, I don't just organize your home—I also help you prepare for the transition into parenthood with practical education, trusted resources, and personalized guidance tailored to your family's needs.

When should I book my nesting session?
We recommend scheduling your nesting project during your second or early third trimester. This gives us plenty of time to organize your home before baby arrives, while allowing you to enjoy the final weeks of pregnancy with one less thing to worry about. Already had your baby? That's okay too! We also love helping families adjust after baby arrives. Sometimes you don't know what you need until you're in the thick of postpartum! We're here for any stage of your motherhood journey.
How long does a nesting project take?
First, we start with a 30-60 minute phone consult. Then, we will schedule a 2 hour in-home consult to start the planning process. As far as the physical nesting project, every project is different! Some families need help organizing a single nursery, while others choose a whole-home nesting experience. Typically clients schedule anywhere from 5 hours - a few days depending on how much help you need. During your consultation, we'll recommend the package that best fits your space, goals, and timeline.
Do I need to buy all of my baby products before my project?
Not necessarily! Many clients choose to schedule after their baby shower so we can organize everything at once, but we can also help you prepare before then. If needed, we can recommend products, help complete your registry, or create a plan for items you'll purchase later. Our top tier nesting project includes shopping for organizational and baby items needed to complete your nesting project. We do the measuring, shopping, unboxing, and bring everything to you on nesting day.
Do I need to be home during the project?
We understand that nesting can sometimes feel overwhelming, but it's also a very special time! You're welcome to stay so we can do it together, but you don't have to. Many clients spend the day relaxing, running errands, or enjoying some much-needed rest while we transform their space. We also know it's hard to get things done if you are a working parent or have other kids at home. We'll discuss your preferences beforehand and make sure you're comfortable with the plan.
What areas of my home can you organize?
Every family's needs are different! We can organize a single nursery or help prepare your entire home for life with a baby. Can you organize with products I already own?
Absolutely! We love helping families make the most of what they already have. Creating a "Pinterest worthy" nursery is fun, but it doesn't need to be fancy. If additional organizational products would improve your space, we'll provide thoughtful recommendations—but we'll never encourage unnecessary purchases. The goal is create a functional space in whatever capacity you're able to work with!
Do you offer gift certificates for a new mama?
Yes! A nesting session makes an amazing baby shower or new parent gift. Gift certificates are available for any package or dollar amount, allowing loved ones to give the gift of organization, preparation, and peace of mind. Email us for more details!
